Joseph V. Barbetta, CFP(R) is a Financial Consultant and Retirement Planning Specialist with AXA Advisors, LLC.  Joe joined AXA Advisors in November of 2000.  In March of 2004 he attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNERTM professional designation and in October 2006 was awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by AXA Advisors based upon the successful receipt of a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.  He is a member of the Million Dollar Round Table and the National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA) of Connecticut.  Joe was raised in Rockville, MD and attended the Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield, CT before obtaining a bachelor's degree in public relations from Marquette University in 1993.  When not working with his clients, Joe volunteers as a legislative ambassador with the American Cancer Society's Cancer Action Networksm and as a member of the planning committee for the American Cancer Society's annual Gold Coast Champions Ball in Fairfield County, CT.
