Joseph V. Barbetta, CFP^(R) is a Financial Consultant and Retirement Planning Specialist with Equitable Advisors. Joe joined Equitable Advisors in November of 2000. In March of 2004 he attained the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER^TM professional designation and in October 2006 was awarded the title of Retirement Planning Specialist by Equitable Advisors based upon the successful receipt of a Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. In February 2018 Joe attained the Retirement Income Certified Professional^(R) professional designation from The American College of Financial Services. Joe was raised in Rockville, MD and attended the Fairfield College Preparatory School in Fairfield, CT before obtaining a bachelor's degree in public relations from Marquette University in 1993. When not working with his clients, Joe volunteers for The American Cancer Society^(R), for whom he chairs the Southern & Western New England Area Board and volunteers as a legislative ambassador with the American Cancer Society's Cancer Action Network.^sm
